Vicky & Chris’s Wedding at The Bridge Hotel & Spa wedding in Wetherby, Yorkshire
The other day I had the pleasure of covering another Yorkshire wedding at The Bridge Hotel & Spa in Wetherby.
Arriving early at The Bridge Hotel & Spa (as it was the first time I’d been there) it didn’t take me long to settle in and get looked after by the attentive wedding co-ordinators there and treated with a frothy cappuccino and posh biscuit! I then went up to the bridal prep room and got acquainted with Vicky and her bridesmaids and family, busily getting ready with make-up and hair (Chrys Chapman MUA)
It was such a close call on the day as Vicky & Chris had been planning to have their ceremony outside on the grounds of the hotel at their gazebo & also a Barbeque style wedding breakfast held in the courtyard (also outside). As luck would have it, the sunshine burst out from behind the grey blanket of clouds and beamed it’s rays as Vicky walked down the outdoor ceremony walkway! It was so nice to be able to cover a wedding ceremony in open air in the sun for a change as the weather has been so unpredictable this Summer although it’s been such a scorcher at times.
I really love capturing raw emotion at weddings and this one didn’t disappoint as the day was filled with such emotion and love it truly was a pleasure and privilege to be part of and be a fly on the wall to discreetly capture in silent mode! Highly charged emotion led to fun and frolics on the dance floor as Vicky, who's family were from Argentina and Chris from the Yorkshire area joined together in the Argentinian tradition of cotilión argie dancing which involves putting on silly hats and dancing around in a serenade! It was so much fun I think I must have taken way too many images and got carried away with it all.
I want to say a big thank you to the staff at the Bridge Hotel & Spa for looking after me on the day and making everything run to clockwork. Looking forward to coming back one day soon!
