Two Metre Portrait Challenge
For anyone that’s not following my Facebook page I’ve recently begun a charity fundraiser to raise money for Leeds Mind. The coronavirus pandemic has affected us all in one way or another and we underestimate the impact of it on our wellbeing and mental health.
What I’ve taken part in is basically a 2 metre portrait challenge which is sweeping across the nation with loads of photographers fundraising and taking social distance aware portraits. These can be taken either on your doorstep or nearby where you live eg in the park etc.
Yesterday was day one and I really enjoyed myself! It felt really surreal after being self isolating for over 8 weeks to go out with my photographic gear and take portraits in my local area of Horsforth, Leeds.
I’ll be posting on here on a regular basis keeping you updated with this as it all progresses. I’ve set a target of £1000 but it doesn’t really matter if I reach this as any money is something and it’s all going to an amazing cause. I’ll also be carrying on with this as a project for the foreseeable future so I may even get there sooner than I think!
If you want to take part, here’s the link for you to join and make a donation. Even if you’re not local to Leeds feel free to donate (no donation too small) for a ‘donation only’ with no portrait.

Please contribute towards my cause and message me once you’ve done so to arrange your portrait (on your doorstep or place of choice nearby) in the areas of Calverley, Farsley, Horsforth & Cookridge, Roundhay, Moortown, Chapel Alperton, Alwoodley, Meanwood, Cookridge, Rodley, Allerton Grange, Scarcroft, Poole, Harewood, Adel, Otley, Ilkley, Weetwood, Cookridge, Bardsey, Rawdon, Guiseley, Menston, Yeadon, Bramhope etc. If you live outside these areas still get in touch and I’ll let you know if I can cover it.
Thanks in advance for your help and look forward to meeting you on your doorstep at a safe distance!
