Wedding Photography at St Mary’s Church Horsforth and Cookridge Hall Leeds West Yorkshire

Jessica & George’s wedding really was one of the most fun weddings I’ve ever had the pleasure in covering!

One of those days when you simply can’t wipe the smile off your face and get face ache from laughing. I met Jess & George via a wedding consultation via the phone and we immediately hit it off. They’re based down in Chiswick West London where I used to live in my previous life and Jessica has family up in Yorkshire so it was a perfect fit and we had a lot in common.

I arrived at the bridal prep location, a perfectly idyllic cottage surrounded by fields in Adel called Dunstarn Cottage and set to work covering the bridal prep. There was literally no stress detected whatsoever and the atmosphere was so chilled and relaxed it was a dream to capture.

Jess had arranged to be picked up and dropped to the church in a classy vintage cream coloured Rolls Royce and for the bridesmaids a Ford Mustang. The wedding ceremony was being held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Horsforth and I was pleasantly surprised about the natural light inside which is always an added bonus as some churches are so dark inside you can struggle for ambient light.

After the ceremony we all took off to go to Bannatyne Cookridge Hall in Leeds and on arrival I was ‘forced’ to get an ice cream before I could carry on taking pictures-hard not to drip it all over my camera gear in the August Summer heat! Such a mellow laid back wedding it really didn’t feel like working at all.

Cookridge Hall was a lovely wedding venue to cover a wedding at, a bright airy conservatory room classily adorned with decorations. The perfect Summer wedding venue and attentive staff (Amy in particular from the events team) that were so helpful and welcoming. Can’t wait to cover another wedding there one day!

Bannatyne Cookridge Hall is Grade II listed building circa 1721 so steeped in history and character which also boasts an 18 hole golf club for any golfing enthusiasts out there who are planning on getting married and fancy a spot of golf before their big day.

A big bonus on the wedding day was the fact they’d chosen to have a bouncy castle erected for the adults to enjoy…no children present to get in the way of their fun so my job was made easy capturing adults getting merry and having fun!

Jessica and George made me feel so much like one of their guests and totally spoilt me on the day making sure I was fed and plying me with drinks when the evening party started…it felt rude to turn them down :)

Anyway see the images below from their day and excuse the delay in me posting them!
