Shriya & Sam’s Wedding at the prestigious Yorkshire wedding venue Allerton Castle in Mauleverer was one wedding I was really looking forward to this Summer as it’s a wedding venue I’ve always wanted to shoot a wedding at.
Allerton Castle has got to be one of the most amazing venues I’ve ever had the pleasure of working at. From it’s jaw dropping splendour when you first walk into their main hall to it’s grandiose sweeping staircase that proved to be the perfect backdrop (which you can see from the images below). Even the bridal prep room was stunning with it’s gold leaf and decor so it was really impossible not to get a good shot here!
It’s history goes back to the 18th century and was previously an iconic stately home owned by the Lord Mowbray, Baron of England, & Prince Frederick (the ‘Grand Old Duke of York’ and brother to King George IV) to name a few.
Shriya & Sam planned their whole wedding from where they lived down south in East London but by the aid of zoom meetings we managed to discuss the fine details and make sure all went smoothly on the day. I’ve had a few London planned weddings this year due to the brides and grooms having family up north in the Yorkshire area. With Zoe from their wedding co-ordination team on board I have to say this particular wedding really was a dream to cover and I’d highly recommend you get in touch with her as she’s really on the ball and tuned in with what the couple were after on the day…also made sure I was well fed and watered which is always a bonus!
Anyway here’s my favourite selection of images from their big day…
